ABOUT
Who runs Richmond Plumbing Guide
Independent notes on residential plumbing in Richmond, Virginia. They are practical information, not a substitute for a licensed plumber at the house.
Who writes it
Mike M — Editor
Mike M writes practical home-service guides for homeowners. These pages explain common problems and what to ask a licensed pro; they are not a substitute for on-site diagnosis.
How we write these guides
- Notes about rowhouses, plaster, and the city’s older drainage are written as general guidance or tied to a public source. We do not invent flood stages or prices.
- We do not tell you to open plaster, enter a flooded basement, or work on a gas line.
- We do not publish ratings or reviews.
- If a page is wrong, tell us and we will correct it.
How the site is paid for
Some pages show a phone number. Calls to it are routed by CallScaler to independent plumbing companies that pay for those calls, and part of that payment comes to this site. That is how we cover our costs. The companies are not part of this site: we don’t choose which one answers, and we don’t warrant or supervise their work. Guides are written the same way whether or not a page shows the number. There is no other advertising, affiliate linking or sponsored content.
What we are not
We are not a plumbing company or a city department. If sewage is in a living space, you smell gas, or someone is hurt, keep clear and call for help.
